Justice At Last is hosting our next “Volunteer Orientation and Introduction to Human Trafficking” training on Thursday, August 27, 2026, starting at 12 PM Pacific Time, and this is a prerequisite for all volunteers, including the Board of Directors, before they can start volunteering for Justice At Last.

This 75-minute mandatory virtual training provides volunteers with an introduction to human trafficking and the work we do throughout the Greater Bay Area at Justice At Last. We will also address the different volunteer opportunities that help support our work on behalf of trafficked persons. If you are currently volunteering for us but have not yet attended this introduction training, we ask that you plan to attend for the first 60 minutes of the event.

We will also address the different volunteer opportunities that help support our work on behalf of trafficked persons. If you are currently volunteering for us but have not yet attended this introduction training, we ask that you plan to attend for the first 60 minutes of the event.

Hope Solutions Re-entry Team training on “Best practices for recognizing and serving Human Trafficking survivors in “Non-Human Trafficking” organizations”

Our very own Riley Hellinger facilitated this training, which helps equip professionals in non-human-trafficking-specific organizations with best practices for identifying potential signs of human trafficking, responding in a trauma-informed manner, and connecting survivors to appropriate services and support.

This specialized training aims to bring together the dedicated case managers and specialists of the Hope Solutions Re-entry Team, who work closely with individuals transitioning out of justice system involvement and housing instability.

A Training on “Working with Law Enforcement for T-Visas and Continued Presence” for the Contra Costa County Human Trafficking Task Force Law Enforcement Agency Subcommittee

Justice At Last is proud to be a partner of the Contra Costa County Human Trafficking Task Force and honored that our very own Lindsay Marum, Managing Attorney, facilitated this training, which provided an overview of T visas and Continued Presence as critical protections for human trafficking survivors, while highlighting promising practices for effective, survivor-centered collaboration with law enforcement.

This specialized training brings together local law enforcement agencies and personnel from across Contra Costa County, who operate under a multidisciplinary task force co-led by the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office.
