Did you know July 30th is World Day Against Trafficking in Persons? Since 2013, the United Nations has designated July 30th as “World Day Against Trafficking in Persons” to raise awareness about this serious crime and grave violation of human rights, which is present both globally and in our San Francisco Bay Area communities. In observance of World Day Against Trafficking in Person, we will be launching our annual Giving Justice campaign on July 30th and it will run through August 31, 2023. Justice At Last has been in the fight against human trafficking since 2015. As a non-profit law firm funded by grants, foundations and private donations, we provide legal services to survivors of trafficking at no cost to them. Your generous support helps provide legal advice, advocacy, and support to survivors of trafficking so they can seek and achieve justice on their own terms. Thanks to supporters like you, in 2022 we were able to provide our services in 15 counties, representing 136 trafficked persons and we also trained 2,175 individuals about the legal rights of trafficked person, including pro bono attorneys, community-based organizations, law enforcement officers, social workers, service providers, court personnel, and survivors.
