True Champions Of Justice

Justice At Last is proud to announce that at our 10 Years of Justice Celebration, Nixon Peabody and Jennifer A. Kuenster will be recognized as Champions of Justice for their extraordinary commitment to advancing justice through pro bono service. Across the firm, Nixon Peabody’s team dedicate their time and expertise to serving vulnerable individuals and families, and to advancing important causes nationwide.

Since 2017, Jenny and the San Francisco Nixon Peabody Team have been invaluable partners to Justice At Last through our Pro Bono Academy, representing survivors of trafficking in critical legal proceedings. Their advocacy has helped survivors erase unjust criminal records and reclaim their futures with dignity through vacatur, a form of relief to trafficking victims in California. Through their unwavering pro bono support, they have helped us hold the legal system accountable for arresting trafficking victims who should have been provided services instead of incarceration and a criminal record, and helping survivors achieve justice on their healing pathway.

We are deeply grateful to Jenny and the San Francisco Nixon Peabody team for their partnership, compassion, and continued leadership in standing up for the rights of trafficking survivors.

This special event will include a sit-down lunch, Champion of Justice awardees’ recognition, a silent auction, and a fund-a-need to help support the continued work of Justice At Last.

We invite you to join us to connect with fellow social justice advocates, learn about our impact from our staff and advisors, and be part of the justice movement. Proceeds will help support our work, including legal representation, trauma-informed advocacy, and reintegration resources for trafficking survivors.
