Today is World Day Against Trafficking in Persons. This day is an important global day of awareness for human trafficking which is an egregious human rights violation that plagues all of our communities across the globe. In 2013, the United Nations designated July 30th as a necessary day to “raise awareness of the situation of victims of human trafficking and for the promotion and protection of their rights.” We are proud that since our founding in 2015, we have made a concerted effort and have provided trainings and awareness about human trafficking and the legal rights and forms of relief of trafficked persons to over 5,000 individuals.

Human trafficking is happening right here in the San Francisco Bay Area.  In our local restaurants and stores, in our neighborhoods, to our fellow community members and residents.  Since 2015, we have served over 700 trafficking survivors. Justice At Last believes that human trafficking is a community-issue that needs a collaborative community response to effectively combat human trafficking. Do you agree?
