At our Celebrating 10 Years of Justice event, Justice At Last will be honoring individuals and organizations from across California who have been breaking down barriers to justice and expanding equity to vulnerable populations. Our Champions of Justice represent the diverse efforts and partnerships—including prosecutors, government agencies, pro bono attorneys, corporations, and community advocates—who have worked with Justice At Last over the past decade to help trafficking survivors achieve justice on their own terms. One of these Champions is Marti MacGibbon, a founding Advisor of Justice At Last, who has supported our mission to be trauma-informed and survivor-centered since 2016. Marti is an internationally recognized author, addiction and mental health professional, and expert on trauma resolution. She holds five certifications in addiction treatment and is known for her inspiring and humorous speaking style. Her personal journey—from surviving human trafficking, addiction, and homelessness to becoming an award-winning speaker and author—has moved audiences across the country. Marti shares evidence-based strategies that promote healing and empowerment, and she uses her platform to raise awareness and advocate for policy change. She has spoken at the White House, State Department, and California State Legislature, and has served on the board of HEAL Trafficking, Inc. and currently serves as a member of the board at the MENTARI Human Trafficking Survivor Empowerment Program. Marti continues to be a passionate voice for survivors, bringing light, laughter, and lasting change wherever she goes.
